Taught in stages, assessed in the open

The CBSE New Delhi curriculum, delivered by subject specialists from Class VI, with an assessment calendar published at the start of the session and marks online within a fortnight of each paper.

Stages

Nursery to Class XII

Pre-Primary

Nursery, LKG, UKG

Play-based literacy and numeracy, phonics, rhymes, motor skills and a great deal of outdoor time. No written homework, and no formal examination — progress is recorded through a termly observation card.

Primary

Classes I to V

Reading fluency and mental mathematics are the backbone. Environmental Studies splits into Science and Social Science in Class IV. Two teachers stay with every section.

Middle School

Classes VI to VIII

Subject specialists take over, laboratory work begins, and the third language is chosen in Class VI. Papers follow the board pattern so Class IX is not a shock.

Senior School

Classes IX to XII

Board preparation with weekly practice papers, doubt-clearing sessions after school, and streams from Class XI: Science, Commerce and Humanities.

  • Humanities: History, Political Science, Psychology
  • Career counselling from Class IX

Houses

Every child belongs to one of four houses from the day they join, and stays in it until Class XII. Houses run the sports meet, the debate league, the science exhibition and one community project a year.
